This rainbow craft activity is super simple and achievable for everyone as well as being perfect to throw together at the last minute.
Talk with the children about the different colours and the order they go in to make the rainbow. Explore the circle shape the toilet roll tube is making. Identify which colours are light or dark and how they mix to make new colours. Maybe even read the story of Noah's Ark in the bible where God uses a rainbow as a sign that he will never flood the earth again and that he always keeps his promises.
All you need:
- Coloured poster paint
- Toilet roll tubes
- Paper (I stuck 2 A4 sheets of paper together to make a larger work space)
Simply begin by dipping the end of a toilet roll tube in to the paint and then stamp it on to the paper leaving a circle effect. Keep stamping the coloured circles over the paper in an arched rainbow shape.
