Finger Painting Christmas Cards

Finger painting Christmas cards is such a fun activity and a meaningful gift to share with friends and family.

All you need to create the Christmas cards:

  • Poster paint
  • Cards
  • Felt tip pens
  • Paint brush
Fairy Lights Finger Painting Christmas Card

This is such a simple yet effective Christmas cards design, which is achievable for all abilities. Begin by using a black pen to draw a looped line across the page with little squares spaced out to make the top of the lights. Then allow the children to dip their finger into different coloured paints and print the paint on to the card at each little drawn square. Creating Christmas lights! For older children maybe challenge them to follow the line of fairy lights with a repeating colour pattern. Then finish by writing merry Christmas or a seasonal message on the front.

Finger Painting Christmas Wreath Card

This is such a lovely Christmas card design, all you need to do is draw a circle on the card tracing around a mug. Then challenge the children to follow the circle round printing green and red finger prints to build up the wreath. Using a paint brush add on the bow then write a Christmas message on the front.

Finger Painting Snowmen Christmas Card

This snowmen Christmas card is so fun and a great craft to explore emotions in a relaxed way. Allow the children to use their fingers to paint the snowmen's head and body on to the card. Once the paint has dried add details to the snowmen using pens such as different facial features and expressions. Providing a great opportunity to talk about feelings and how giving Christmas
cards to others can bring them joy.

I hope you will enjoy making these Christmas cards at home!
